At Emerald Kids Yoga, we make yoga and mindfulness accessible to everyone through inspiring, intentional, and inviting guidance that supports children’s inner awareness and their responses to the world around them. Through movement, breathing, relaxation, and mindful activities, children practice slowing down, noticing their feelings, and exploring their breath.

We believe that every child deserves access to the transformative benefits of yoga and mindfulness. We offer classes in a variety of settings, including library branches, schools, recreation centers, preschools, museums, and yoga studios. No matter where your child is, we bring the magic of yoga to them.

Just like the emerald gemstone, we embody the qualities of love, compassion, and authenticity in everything we do. We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to shine brightly.

"Her lesson plans are very intentional: she understands learning styles, planes of development, and has a deep comprehension of the 8 limbs of yoga. She brings that wisdom to the mat with kids in fun, creative ways that help them feel special and connected, while building toolboxes for self-regulation and peace."

"My son and I have attended Jayme's classes for 3 years now, and I can't recommend her enough! We both LOVE her classes! We have fun, enjoy her creative ideas, learn mindfulness, and we both feel calmer when we leave. She gives kids the chance to use their bodies positively AND feel more peace. Thank you, Jayme! You have taught us valuable lifelong lessons, and we will always be your grateful students."

"My daughter is a student at Blooming Minds Montessori, and I am so grateful for your partnership to do weekly yoga! I am amazed by 1) her flexibility (she's always showing us her yoga poses!) 2) her ability to calm herself down using deep breaths (and telling us too!) and 3) her complete enjoyment of the program to the point that she requests to be the yoga teacher at home and teach us! I'm so glad to have this program as part of BMM and her life, so THANK YOU!"

"I cannot recommend Emerald Kids Yoga enough! The instructors are incredible! they use a variety of visuals and hands-on techniques that make every session engaging, fun, and easy to follow for kids. My child was immediately drawn in and stayed excited the entire time. I love how the classes balance movement, mindfulness, and creativity, helping kids not just get active, but also feel calm and centered. The team is patient, supportive, and genuinely caring, which made the experience feel safe and welcoming. Every class was a positive experience, and I can already see how it has helped my child build confidence, focus, and a love for yoga. Emerald Kids Yoga truly goes above and beyond, and I could not recommend them highly enough!"

Connect, Move, and Play with Yoga
Yoga is a fun way for children to develop a variety of important skills in a nurturing, non-competitive environment. This creative space allows children to relax and have fun while developing strength, coordination, flexibility, and balance, as well as increasing body awareness, concentration, and self-esteem.
Includes:

Jayme is a certified elementary teacher, secondary health teacher, and a certified adult and kids yoga instructor who’s passion for teaching light-hearted, playful yoga and mindfulness classes has only been amplified since becoming a mother. Her enthusiasm for educating children led her to teach kindergarten in Idaho and Nevada for over seven years. She incorporated breathing and yoga practices in her classroom, noting the benefits to all students. Yoga has been a meaningful part of her life for over twenty years. Jayme has completed her RYT 200 through Mountain Yoga Sandy and her RCYT through Yoginos: Yoga for Youth. Jayme established Emerald Kids Yoga to help children and families gain awareness of the connection between their mind, body, and breath. This awareness leads them on an emerald, heart-centered, playful path of improved mindset, relaxation, visualization, asanas, as well as giving them the social and emotional tools to support them on their unique life journey.

"I knew that I needed to incorporate daily mindfulness and yoga techniques into my life to show up as my best self for myself and my two kids. I observed the many benefits of yoga and breath-work on my family and myself. I look forward to meeting you and sharing the magic of yoga and mindfulness."
—Jayme

* TEACHER SPOTLIGHT * April 2025
"I love that yoga helps me to explore my thoughts and feelings while stretching my muscles and releasing tension in my body through the asanas. I enjoy a yoga practice that builds strength and flexibility while creating a sacred space to hear my heart speak through body, breath, and intuition. Practicing yoga helps me to harmonize my thoughts, words, and actions to create a sense of happiness. This reminds me to try my best to be authentic.
There are many different, creative, and beautiful ways to practice yoga, and I love that each yoga path is unique for individuals. There is a majestic energy about a yoga lifestyle. It’s similar to watching a sunset as you use your senses and feel a sense of peace and inspiration.
Now that I have experienced this journey on the yoga path, I can’t turn back. It helps me tune into moments that could feel mundane, but these small moments, whether by myself or with others, feel like miracles." —Jayme Allen Vetz

Start your morning with a 45-minute class doing gentle stretches, mindful breathing techniques, movement, games, singing, and completing a craft. Through movement and stories, children can build self-awareness, connect to their imaginations, and develop mindful listening skills.
Classes are designed for your child to explore the joy of movement, practice fun and challenging yoga poses, explore breathing techniques, use yoga props to encourage mindfulness and relaxation, focus and calm their minds, and create a community with others. Parents can take a yoga class at the same time as their children.
These classes are designed for kiddos to practice fine and gross motor skills, social and group skills, and develop mindfulness and breathing/calming tools on and off the yoga mat through games, stories, music, poses, and relaxation.
Classes are divided into four groups, ranging in age from 18 months to 5 years. Each class includes age-appropriate yoga and movement tailored to children. These classes are designed to help children build strength and balance, gain body and mind awareness, explore the joy of movement, and find stillness after high-energy movement.
Classes are broken into three different groups ages ranging from 18 months to 5 years. Each class includes age-appropriate yoga and movement tailored towards the children. These classes are created to help children build strength and balance, gain body and mind awareness, develop focus, explore the joy in movement, enhance creativity and connection through stories and games, and find stillness after high-energy movement.
These classes are broken into two different groups. The first group is a 3 year old class, and the second group is a 4-5 year old class. We tailor yoga and movement towards their developmental needs. These classes are created to help children learn life skills, gain body and mind awareness, develop concentration, dance and move their bodies to engaging songs, and find stillness after high-energy movement.
Join us for a magical, playful, and nurturing class where parents and children have the space and opportunity to observe and learn from each other. Family Yoga incorporates mindfulness techniques and blends a variety of yoga poses into music, stories, community, and games. Participants experience quality, joy-filled family time, while kids can "show off" what they already know and can do in yoga classes. Parents get an idea of how to practice fun yoga and calming strategies together with their kids on the mat and at home.
This is a one-hour after-school yoga club tailored to grades 1st through 3rd. We blend playful movements with mindfulness techniques, helping each child feel supported and encouraged. Students learn to move their bodies through partner poses, yoga poses, dancing, games, and team-building exercises. They will leave class with mindfulness and relaxation tools they can use on and off the yoga mat.
Jayme offers kids yoga birthday parties. The 1 hour event will include a playlist of your party-themed songs, games, yoga poses, book, coloring pages, crafts, and yoga mats. We can have the class outdoors in a park or at home in your living room. Birthday parties can be stressful for adults and yoga is proven to help reduce stress and anxiety.
